Marine Life: Puget Sound

Puget Sound is an "inland sea" located in the state of Washington, connected to the Pacific Ocean via the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The sound is deep, 600 feet or more, and flushed twice daily by strong tidal currents that carry enough nutrients to sustain an incredibly rich fauna of life.
